Meet Sheenu. Sheenu has worked for Corning for over six years and now supports Corning Environmental Technologies (CET) as a customer service manager.

She feels Corning is a strong supporter of equality with no acceptance of gender biases. “Corning is stepping forward to hire more women, promoting women to leadership positions, and advancing them through trainings and many more initiatives,” says Sheenu.

For Sheenu, Corning Values are the driving force of the company’s inclusive culture that fosters a collaborative, flexible, and inclusive environment. “Corning always gives an opportunity for challenges and responsibilities and supports learning of new tasks,” Sheenu says.

Citing her parents as her biggest supporters, Sheenu says, “Never give up. This is the biggest lesson I learned from my parents. They are my inspiration and, despite facing countless challenges, they always supported my decisions and encouraged me to do what I want to.”

Sheenu believes that the empowerment of women is not only central to promoting gender equality, but also leads to a positive impact on the world.

Her enthusiasm for working on new and challenging projects is boundless and she is proud  she has achieved the Six Sigma Green Belt and become part of a team leading critical CET projects.
