Meet Lovelina. She believes that the only thing that matters at a workplace, is the quality of work.
A self-starter, she began her journey as the only female engineer on the shop floor at a company that was dominated by male colleagues.
“On the day that I joined, my manager said just go ahead and have a look at the machines. I was scared but his confidence in me shaped me into who I have become as a professional.”
Lovelina has been with Corning for 5 years now. After the initial two roles in the Quality function, in 2019, she transitioned to a commercial role and is currently a Market Development and Applications Engineer for the Optical Fiber business.
“Corning has given me the opportunity to not only grow as a professional but also as a person. Being someone who loves new challenges, I truly feel excited to have worked in multiple roles and look forward for more exciting work.”
