Thanks to the gel-based sealing body, the FRECAP 2 fibre optic closure offers a high degree of flexibility when it comes to cable and tube configuration, both for initial configuration and for subsequent additions or changes. The innovative locking system provides even better protection for the fibres during operation.
The use of multiple entries expands the capacity of the eight individually and independently accessible ports, for example to securely manage up to 32 microtubes with an outer diameter of 7 mm.
FRECAP 2 uses Corning's MAX single and multifibre management system, thus allowing not only optimal storage of the fibres but also a high degree of flexibility for moves, adds and changes (MAC). The secure guidance and separation of the individual fibre pairs also provides special protection for the fibres in operation while work is being carried out on adjacent fibre pairs, for example.

ALTOS® Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cables

Corning’s extensive ALTOS® loose tube fiber optic cable portfolio offers reliable, high-speed data transmission in duct, buried, or aerial outdoor applications. The cables are high-density, lightweight, and durable for easy handling and installations. ALTOS cables contain buffer tubes with either 12 or 24 single loose fibers for installer familiarity; in 24-fiber tube options, the second set of 12 fibers is marked for quick identification and separation. Improved outer jacket marking allows for abrasion resistance and includes highly visible key cable specifications for faster field reference. FastAccess® technology options provide simpler, safer, and faster cable jacket removal and buffer tube access.
