The key component of the solution is the OptiSheath® MultiPort Connectorised Block Terminal (CBT), it enables the installer to run a 4 or 12 fiber drop cables simultaneously into the CBT. Enabled by the OptiTip® connector simplifies and speeds up the customer's connection.

Local Convergence Point (LCP) with Splitter

This cable distributor (KVz) for FTTH networks is suitable for micro and mini cables.
It organizes the conversion from main to customer connection cables and offers significantly easier network access than underground distributors. It is available in two sizes.

Aerial fiber Cable

These fiber optical cables are usually routed over wooden poles in the field and are exposed to the weather. They are smaller and lighter than comparable copper cables.
The material of the outer cable sheath is weather and sunlight resistant, the metal-free strain relief is integrated in the cable sheath in a round symmetric way.

Transition and Branching Joint Closures

Closures or joints are used for the professional connection of cable ends. The fibers are spliced and safely stored in them. Using branching joints, several cables can be combined on the main line, which reduces the number of cables per pole and allows larger distances to be travelled by each cable.
If the joint is attached to the pole, the excess cable length should be collected in such a way that a repair reserve remains and assembly and maintenance work can be carried out cost-effectively and quickly on the ground. The necessary excess cable is captured and stored in the overlength manager for this purpose.

Connectorised Block Terminal (CBT) OptiSheath® Multiport (OptiTip®)

The CBT OptiSheath® MultiPort Terminal is a specially protected patch-terminal designed for outdoor use following the Plug & Play™ principle.
It enables an easy and faster customer connection, since the fiber splicing is replaced by connectors at this point allowing to run multifiber (4 or 12 fibers) drop cable to the customer premises.

OptiTip Multifiber SST-Drop cable

SST-Drop™ cable for customer connection: This robust cable construction has 4 or 12 fibers and an OptiTip® connector. The drop cables connect the MultiPort terminal to the building distribution or customer splice point (CSP) – the building access terminal (BAT). SST-Drop cables are suitable for installation in ducts, direct buried and aerial deployments.

Building Access Terminal (BAT) to Transition from Outdoor to Indoor

This terminal enables a clear separation between outside and inhouse network parts, is available in several sizes, can be ordered pre-equipped or flexibly configurable. It received the German Design Award 2017 for its functional, flexible and flat design.
