"What really pulled me in to pursuing the opportunity was the importance the company ascribes to the internship program"
Ravi echoed the remarks of many other Corning Incorporated interns: interns at this company do real work that matters.
“What really pulled me in to pursuing the opportunity was the importance the company ascribes to the internship program,” Ravi said. “The interaction with the CEO and the leadership team was a wonderful opportunity for the interns to develop a first-hand perspective on the company.”
The MBA student worked in Hickory, N.C., this past summer with Corning Optical Communications. In his position, Ravi came to understand the global Fiber to the Home market in order to devise a solution for a product in the business’s portfolio.
“The enthusiasm with which my colleagues shared their perspective on my project was very satisfying,” said Ravi, who is originally from Hyderabad, India. “It reflects the openness in the culture, which to me, means a lot.”
Ravi returned to Harvard Business School this fall to complete his second year.
