“I loved watching and learning from my supervisor and other [human resources] professionals"
Katie’s connection with Corning Incorporated traces all the way back to her childhood.
“My dad has worked with Corning my entire life, and Corning itself has made a huge impact on my life since I was a baby,” said the current junior at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.
“I used to love ‘Bring Your Child to Work Day,’ and looked forward to it every year.”
Katie spent eight weeks of summer 2014 working for Human Resources on several projects, including a recruitment campaign.
“I loved watching and learning from my supervisor and other HR professionals; seeing how they think and work around problems is amazing,” said Katie. “They’re all brilliant, and I know I learned from the best.”
In her spare time, Katie hones her photography and archery skills.
“Hopefully I will find myself as an HR professional,” she said. “Maybe even at Corning.”
