Packaging Takeback Program | Recycling Program | Corning

You can make a difference.

Don’t throw away your Corning®, Falcon®, or Axygen® product packaging.

Don’t throw away your Corning®, Falcon®, or Axygen® product packaging.

Recycle it through Corning’s package recycle program.

At Corning Life Sciences, we believe that end-of-life recycling opportunities are an important enabler for a cleaner environment and the wise use of material resources. Creating a sustainable lab can be a difficult and overwhelming task; with this in mind, we offer customers free participation in our recycling program. Protecting the environment with Corning is simple.

Step 1

Place the recyclable materials from the listed Corning, Falcon, or Axygen products in a box. Please pack the box tight to minimize the climate impacts of shipping.

Step 3

Affix the mailing label to the box, seal it for mailing (if reusing boxes, remove prior shipping labels and any product description information), and send it via UPS or FedEx to our recycling partner.

Thank you for helping to preserve our environment with Corning Life Sciences.

Corning Life Sciences is working to ensure that all packaging is labeled with the appropriate recycling symbols and information. If you still aren’t sure, contact your Corning Account Manager.

  • Are recycled or reused materials used in product production?

Some Corning Life Sciences products benefit from pre-consumer regrind, a process that captures scrap plastics and resins from internal manufacturing for re-use in production; percentages vary depending on the product and plant.

Recycled resins are also starting to become available, though recycled content is currently very low. We are actively working with our supply chain to explore the technical viability of recycled resins for future use with our products

  • When I use Corning Recycles, where does the product go, and what is it recycled into?

Product is sorted and sent to our recycler to process. The recycled content is then used in various consumer and industrial end markets depending on demand (i.e., consumer good bottles, personal care items, automotive parts, paint cans, packaging, etc.).

  • Are Corning EcoChoice™ products included in Corning Recycles?

Not all EcoChoice products can be recycled. Eligibility for the Corning Recycles program depends on both the material of the product and how the product is used in your lab. Please review www.corning.com/recycles for more information on what can be recycled in the program.

  • Can Corning give me a report on how much I recycled?

We can share at the end of the year how many shipments you sent back to us and the estimated weights. Please contact your local Corning Account Manager.
