For more than 50 years, the Corning European Technology Center, based in Avon, has been providing regional and global technology support and expertise, contributing to the growth objectives of the Corning Group. The diversity and versatility of its teams make it a unique site in France for all employees passionate about technology and wishing to develop both humanly and scientifically.
AFR
The AFR business, meanwhile, is also partly based in Avon, is affiliated with the Emerging Innovation Group branch of the Science and Technology Division.
AFR reactors are designed to perform continuous flow chemical reactions and thus convert batch processes into continuous processes by intensification. They are intended for the pharmaceutical industry, specialty chemistry and fine chemicals. The business provides customers with specialized technical assistance and process expertise for the implementation of more economical solutions. The specificity of AFR reactors is to allow rapid industrialization of a process without the typical problems of scale-up.
