Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer
Jeff Evenson was appointed executive vice president in 2018 and has served as chief strategy officer since 2015. In this role, Evenson oversees Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability.
Evenson joined Corning in 2011 as senior vice president and operations chief of staff and was responsible for leading the process to create Corning’s annual operating priorities and overseeing a variety of strategic programs and growth initiatives across the company’s diverse businesses.
Previously, he spent seven years at Sanford C. Bernstein as a senior vice president and senior analyst focused on data networking companies. Earlier in his career, Evenson was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led technology and market assessments for early-stage technologies.
Evenson has a Ph.D. in physics from Harvard University, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow, and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is chairman of the Corning Museum of Glass, a trustee of the Corning Foundation, and a member of the board of directors for Arnot Health, Inc.
